About the Artist
Keith Garrett (aka Keith Lessert) is a San Antonio-based singer-songwriter who caught the music bug after his first arena concert—turning to a friend and saying, “I’m supposed to do that.” From jamming in a college band called Pneuma to performing his debut single for over 6,000 fans, Keith’s journey has been full of memorable moments. He’s shared stages with icons like Michael English and David Phelps, drawing from a genre-blending mix of influences from Petra, to DC Talk, Newsboys, Audio Adrenaline, Steve Curtis Chapman, Chris Tomlin, Lincoln Brewster and Phil Wickham to name a few. His sound? Faith-filled, soulful, and unboxed. Keith makes music to move hearts—and bring people together, one song at a time.e influence from Contemporary Christian music over the years, shaped by a wide-ranging musical upbringing. From Petra, to DC Talk, Newsboys, Audio Adrenaline, Steve Curtis Chapman, Chris Tomlin, Lincoln Brewster and Phil Wickham to name a few. This diversity gives his music a unique flavor—heartfelt, relatable, and always soul-stirring.
He’s collaborated with industry greats like Chris Rodriguez (Michael W. Smith, Kenny Loggins) and Terry McMillan (Garth Brooks, Amy Grant), and shared the stage with artists such as Michael English, David Phelps, and Dove Award-winning songwriter David Moffitt. In later music experiences, Keith also performed alongside future stars like Country Music icon Carly Pearce and Grammy award-winning songwriter Jordan Reynolds (Dan and Shay, We the Kingdom, etc.).
Growing up around his family’s music-focused business, Heaven Scent Events, Keith saw firsthand the artistry and heart behind acts like Rebecca St. James and Phillips, Craig and Dean. That early exposure shaped his lifelong commitment to creating music that connects deeply.
Today, Keith Garrett continues to write, record, and perform with the same mission he started with: to move people—through melody, message, and the moments only music can create.
